Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach. For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come. By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. Heb 13:13-15

The word “Praise or thanks”: As seen throughout the book of Hebrews, sacrifices were extremely important under the Old Covenant. Under the New Covenant, God desires the praise and thanksgiving of His people rather than offerings of animals or grain. Since New Testament believers are all priests (“Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.” 1 Pet. 2:5, 9), they have offerings of praise and thanks to God (Rom. 12:1). The “sacrifice of praise” or thanksgiving is also mentioned (in Lev. 7:12; Psalm 54:6). Also, the last 10 chapters of the book of Psalms are about praising God. If you want to feel the presence of God, you can, when you Praise Him. God inhabits the praises of His people. The Book of Ephesians 5:19-20 tells us, “Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;” “Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;” We cannot even praise God in our own name. We must do all things in the name of Jesus Christ. Remember, it's not about you, but it's about Jesus. In, 1 Peter 4:11 “If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
”Have A Blessed Thanksgiving!!!
