It Is Finished
It Is Finished

Upon the hill where mercy cried,

The Lamb of God was crucified.

The sky grew dark, the earth did shake,

As heaven watched a heart now break.

The bitter drink upon His tongue,

The final breath within His lungs—

And then, with love that pierced the sky,

He whispered low His last goodbye:

“It is finished.” Not defeat—

But glory robed in sorrow sweet.

Not end, but all things made complete;

The veil was torn beneath His feet.

No more the weight of sin to bear,

The burden carried then and there.

The crown of thorns, the nail, the spear—

All answered in those words so clear.

It is finished—justice met,

Grace poured out in crimson sweat.

The curse reversed, the debt was paid,

The path to paradise remade.

He bowed His head not out of loss,

But crowned as King upon the cross.

He gave His spirit, calm and still,

In full surrender to God's will.

So when you ache and tears must fall,

Remember Christ endured it all.

And from that tree, where blood was spilled,

His final word—our hope fulfilled.
